Gen. Mike Flynn Begs Trump To Stop Calling Jeffrey Epstein Case 'A Hoax'
A big Donald Trump supporter had a small request for the president on Wednesday: Stop calling the Jeffrey Epstein case a hoax.
Ever since the heads of the DOJ and the FBI stated that no Epstein “client list” exists, the president has been publicly claiming that the so-called Epstein files were fabricated and even suggested former FBI Director James Comey and former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden were all behind it.
Trump, once a longtime friend of Epstein’s who has been rumored to be named in the FBI’s file on the financier, said on Truth Social that his followers who are interested in the release of the alleged files are “weaklings” doing the work of the Democrats.
One such follower ― former national security adviser Gen. Michael Flynn ― posted a public message on social media hoping to get Trump to stop claiming that the Epstein case is fake.
It’s a subject quite personal to Flynn, who has long promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory that claimed so-called operatives in the “deep state” are involved in satanic rituals and sex trafficking.
Flynn began his lengthy post by admitting that he “hesitated to write this however, with the utmost respect and deference to you for all you’ve withstood” while noting that “few know it better than me what the ‘deep state’ can do when they want to turn on a person.”
But he then insisted that “The EPSTEIN AFFAIR is NOT about who killed him or if he committed suicide ― personally, I’m glad this known pedophile is dead,” and added, ”But neither is this a hoax.”
Flynn also insisted that “if there are elites inside of our country that committed crimes against CHILDREN (shame on them) and they MUST be held ACCOUNTABLE.”
Flynn then suggested with his “strongest recommendation” that Trump get his team to “figure out a way to move past this.”
“The roll out of this was terrible, no way around that. Americans want America to be successful, therefore, WE NEED YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL,” he wrote.
Flynn’s post didn’t address a popular theory why Trump suddenly decided to call the Epstein files a hoax: He might be in them.
Wednesday’s post was the second time in the last week that Flynn has tried to get Trump to reconsider his recent Epstein actions.
In a post made on Saturday, Flynn implored Trump to “address the massive number of unanswered questions about Epstein, especially the ABUSE OF CHILDREN BY ELITES.”
