TEXAS Citizen: The article says that it is unclear if Britain will leave the EU. (1) The people of Great Britain have already voted to leave the EU. (2) My understanding is that Britain is that they have already given notice that they will leave the EU and my understanding of the way the EU rules are written is that if Britain does not leave the EU by a certain date then Britain will be expelled. The negotiations now are not about whether or not Britain will leave the EU but the conditions under which they will leave. Britain's Johnson wants a more favorable deal but the EU feels that that there is already a negotiated deal and is refusing to reopen negotiations. One big sticking point which I don't know enough about is having a hard border between Northern Ireland and the rest of the country which apparently means no free flow of trade as goods have to be inspected at check points. Time marches on but it is only a matter of a few weeks before something is supposed to happen one way or the other.
