German Shepherd ‘Guards’ Day Care Girlfriend Like a True Devoted Boy
Doggy daycare is an excellent choice for dogs who don't like to be alone. Having to work shouldn't mean you can't have a dog, and with doggy daycare, you can totally do both without issue. Most dogs learn to love it there, and they'll even want to go when you have the day off!
They typically make friends there, just like a human child would, and who knows? Maybe they'll even fall in love. On Friday, October 3rd, one adorable German Shepherd proved that he certainly did! Now, his precious girlfriend can't go anywhere without her bodyguard:
The Chase Dog Club is the kind of daycare you send your dog to if you want them to fall in love, apparently. Good to know! My dogs are ready, too! The two dogs in this relationship are Ryder and Piper. The two of them stick together.

Since they don't live at the daycare, we don't have as much information about their love story as we'd like. We do know that Ryder is a German Shepherd, while Piper appears to be some type of a Labrador Retriever. Whatever she might be, she's gorgeous! I can see what he sees in her!
This doggy daycare is awesome. They even have a pool, which has been the subject of many fistfights:
They're also a doggy spa and boarding facility. Long-term clients often have the best chance of finding love, though Ryder and Piper manage during daycare hours only! Anything is possible, and it just goes to show that if he wanted to, he would!
Doggy Daycare Isn't Right For Every Dog
Obviously, doggy daycare was exactly what Ryder and Piper needed, but that's not the case for every dog. Before committing to a full-time daycare schedule, you should do a few trial runs first: make sure they're okay being left, and make sure they're okay with other dogs.
Ideally, doggy daycare starts when they're a puppy if you're going to do it at all. Once they've had their shots, they should begin socializing immediately. Early socialization is vital to making sure that your dog is well-rounded and not anxious around others. Doggy daycare is ideal for:
Dogs who are spayed/neutered.
Dogs who are mostly potty trained.
Fully vaccinated dogs.
Dogs who don't resource guard.
The daycare will often tell you if they don't think your dog is a right fit, but never be afraid to ask!
Alternatives to Doggy Daycare
In the event that you find out that daycare won't work, don't panic! There are plenty of other options for pups who need to stay home, including:
Dog-walking services.
Dog sitters.
Depending on your dog's needs, they'll either stay with your dog all day or come by periodically. These options can sometimes be more expensive than daycare, and they can be riskier, but they're a lifesaver for anxious dogs. Plus, don't worry: there are plenty of opportunities for dogs to fall in love without daycare, too!
