Cats and small animals have a complicated history for which I blame Tom and Jerry entirely. Many people think that cats and small pets like rats, mice, and bunnies can't get along, but that's not always the case. It depends on the animals!
Just look at this video from Wednesday, September 3rd. After they built a screened-in catio, one pair of cats had absolutely no problem zooming around with their bunny sibling! The three of them get along great, and it's so sweet:
The Lexi Bunch is so cute. They might not seem like they get along, but they totally do!

There are three pets in this video, though there are 5 total pets in the home: three cats and two free-roam bunnies. The cats are totally used to the bunnies just walking around, since that's how things have always been.
This is the first time they've ever had a catio, though, and all of them are taking full advantage of this new space! Since they're all indoor pets, it's important for them to get some fresh air whenever they can. Catios are a great way for them to do that!
They also get to go for walks in their stroller sometimes:
The bunnies have their own room, too. They're living better than I am, honestly!
Free-Roam Bunnies Are Awesome Pets
Not everyone knows that bunnies can free-roam just like cats or dogs, but they can! They're incredibly smart: they can be litter trained and everything. Yes, they poop a lot, but litter-training them makes it more manageable.
If you do want a free-roam bunny, you'll need to "bunny-proof" a lot, because they love to chew. You should make sure they can't access any:
Electrical cords.
Plants that might be toxic.
Cleaning supplies.
Trash.
Free-roam bunnies should also have a designated space of their own! The bunnies in this home have an entire room, but you can also set up a pen or a cage for them instead. These are certainly some spoiled bunnies!
