4-Month-Old Great Dane Busting Over Baby Gate Is Making Everybody Smile

2 min read

Many people use baby gates to keep their dogs in (or out!) of certain areas of their homes. Most dogs don't like the gates because they confine them to a particular area, and they'll try anything to get around the gate and escape to freedom.

Take, for instance, this 4-month-old Great Dane. TikToker @amandabridges90 shared a video of when her fur baby learning learned that he's now big enough to climb right over the gate. He might not be graceful about it or a pro at it yet, but he gets the job done. Make sure your sound is on because his clops down the hall are music to our ears!

The Great Dane puppy was so proud of himself! And the tuxedo cat just watching cracked us up, too. It was as if the cat was wondering what just happened?!

Another commenter added, "The ears! The face! The paws! The trot!"

Others pointed out what the cat was thinking. @misskaychelle joked, "Cat lookin like, "'I told them that sh*t wasn’t gonna work'!" @krega87 said, "Cat: 'I want to renegotiate my contract'!" @macrickle laughed, "Lmao!!! The way the cat just watched a crime happen!"

How Big Do Great Danes Get?

Everybody noticed the size of the puppy's paws - they're huge! Many people pointed out that the pup was going to get very big, which, of course, is true because Great Danes are the tallest dog breed around!

The American Kennel Club (AKC) shared, "A male Great Dane can reach up to 32 inches at the shoulder and weigh a massive 175 pounds. Females are slightly smaller, at up to 30 inches and 140 pounds — and both males and females can tower over many humans when they stand on their hind legs. Despite their size, Great Danes are elegant, and even regal in their gait and disposition."

They're really big dogs!
