Kevin Jonas’ First Solo Performance Brings Danielle Jonas to Tears

Kevin Jonas marked a career milestone with Danielle Jonas cheering him on.

The oldest Jonas Brother took the stage for his first-ever solo performance of an original song titled “Changing,” during the Aug. 23 Greetings From Your Hometown tour stop at Fenway Park in Boston.

In a videos shared across social media, Nick Jonas wrapped his solo section of the concert by telling the crowd, “Ladies and gentlemen, please make some noise for Kevin Jonas.”

Kevin, 37, entered the stage strumming his guitar before standing behind a microphone and telling the audience, “I’m super nervous.”

After performing the unreleased song in full, Nick and Joe Jonas returned to the stage and embraced Kevin as he swapped guitars, while he became emotional as the crowd chanted his name.

Kevin’s wife Danielle gushed about the performance in an Aug. 24 Instagram post with videos of her crying as she watched her husband of 14 years took the stage without his bandmates.

“Last night was a moment I will never forget,” Danielle—who shares daughters Alena, 10, and Valentina, 7, with Kevin wrote. “Hearing you sing your own song and watching your voice fill the stadium brought me to tears. I am beyond proud of you @kevinjonas and so grateful that everyone else finally got to hear the voice I’ve loved for so long.”

Danielle’s post also included a video of their daughters watching the performance on FaceTime and the moment she and Kevin celebrated the with a little backstage PDA.

Kevin reflected on the performance in a Aug. 24 Instagram post on his respective account writing, “Thank you Fenway! Will never forget this night.”

For his part, Nick celebrated the show—which also included surprise performances by Jojo, Jesse McCartney and Dashboard Confessional.

“Last nights show at Fenway was honestly one of my favorite Jonas Brothers shows ever,” the “Jealous” singer wrote on X. “Thank you Boston.”

Ahead of hitting the road with his brothers and celebrating 20 Years of their group, Kevin teased the importance of celebrating the milestone with his brothers.

"The fact that we can continue to play music and continue to play live, we know how special it is," the Claim to Fame host told E! News in May. "This one's gonna be really special. It's gonna be not only a celebration, but it's also a celebration of what's to come."
