Nicole Kidman Rocks Breakup Bangs and Holds Hands with Both Daughters at Sexy Chanel Appearance Post-Keith Urban Split

Nicole Kidman is making her first public work appearance since the news broke of her split from Keith Urban — and she's debuting a hair transformation.

On Monday, Oct. 6, the actress stepped out for the Chanel runway show during Paris Fashion Week with some fresh bangs. She teamed the new cut with a chic white button-down and jeans for an effortlessly cool appearance.

Kidman was joined by the two daughters she shares with Urban, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. (The actress asked to be primary residential parent in the custody agreement as part of the divorce filing  on Sept. 30.)

Both Sunday and Faith matched their mom's casual look in low-key outfits. Sunday returned to the PFW circuit to walk the runway during the Dior show on Wednesday, Oct. 1. Kidman's niece, Lucia Hawley, also joined the trio.

Kidman's appearance at the show comes amid her being recently named an ambassador for Chanel.

“As someone who has such an appreciation for haute couture, I am so looking forward to witnessing Matthieu’s vision for the oldest haute couture house still in operation and having the opportunity to wear what I know will be gorgeous creations,” she said in a statement to WWD.

Kidman continued, “Chanel has always been ahead of the curve, shining a smart and gracious light on women, and I am sure Matthieu will be no exception, just like Karl did in his time."

The actress's appearance at Chanel also comes amid the news of her filing for divorce from Urban on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Following Kidman's Chanel ambassador appointment, a source exclusively told PEOPLE that Kidman is continuing to focus on work, despite the split news.

"Nicole is honoring her work commitments, as is Keith," a source tells PEOPLE exclusively of the actress and 57-year-old country musician.

Her last outing took place on Friday, Oct. 4, at the amfAR Dallas Gala. For the occasion, she wore a fitted, black velvet gown with a cleavage-baring sweetheart nelckline.

On Monday, Sept. 29, PEOPLE confirmed that the Oscar-winning actress, 58, and the country singer, 57, have separated after 19 years of marriage. A source told PEOPLE exclusively: "Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.”

"She didn’t want this," adds the source. "She has been fighting to save the marriage."

TMZ was first to report news of the breakup, citing sources who said the pair have been living apart since the beginning of the summer.

The longtime couple married in June 2006 and share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise, with whom she shares daughter Bella, 32, and son Connor, 30.

During the past few months, while Urban was on tour, Kidman also found solace in her daughters. A source close to the family told PEOPLE in August that Kidman, Sunday and Faith "have been inseparable" all summer.

“While Keith has been away on tour all summer, Nicole and her daughters have been inseparable, spending time together bonding," the insider said on Aug. 19. "Now the focus is back to school in Nashville, where Nic has been getting the girls ready for the new year.”

A source also told PEOPLE that Kidman and Urban had been living separately "for awhile now."

"Their lives were moving in different directions, and once he quietly set up his own place, it felt like the writing was on the wall," the inside said of Urban moving out.

“It really hasn’t been a secret in their circles that Keith and Nicole have been living separately for a while now," the source added. "People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable."

Kidman and Urban were last spotted out together more than three months before the separation was made public when they attended the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup match between Los Angeles Football Club and Esperance de Tunis at GEODIS Park together on June 20 in Nashville.

The former couple also attended the sports event just five days before their 19th wedding anniversary. On June 25, Kidman shared a photo of herself cuddled up to Urban on Instagram to commemorate their wedding anniversary. "Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban," she wrote.
