Lil Nas X has reportedly been hospitalized for a possible overdose after he allegedly assaulted a police officer.

The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a naked man walking along Ventura Boulevard in Studio City at around 6 a.m. on Thursday. While the LAPD did not confirm the “Old Town Road” rapper’s identity, TMZ released a video of him roaming the same street early that morning. The video shows Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, in his underwear and cowboy boots, as he incoherently speaks to the person recording the video on their phone.

A man accused of assault was reportedly “nude in the street” and went on to “batter an officer, so he was booked for battery on a [peace officer],” a spokesperson for the LAPD told People.

TMZ also reported that officers told paramedics that the rapper had suffered a possible overdose before he was transported to a nearby hospital. CNN also confirmed the arrest with the LAPD.

“Upon arrival the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for battery on a police officer,” public information officer Charles Miller told CNN.

A representative for Lil Nas X did not immediately respond to Yahoo’s request for comment.

Ahead of the incident, the 26-year-old made a slew of Instagram posts. On Wednesday, the rapper posted mirror selfies as well as photos of piles of his belongings and his art. The posts featured music, which appeared to be unreleased Lil Nas X songs.
