"He didn't ask for any help from me or anyone I know. So I was really surprised he got it spot-on. What I could have asked for, dreamed up myself, he did without even asking," Heinrich told PEOPLE in July 2025.

When the couple began dating in 2021, they were both in the midst of successful political careers. Heinrich joined Fox News in September 2018 and is also the co-host of The FOX News Rundown podcast.

Meanwhile, Fitzpatrick was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in Pennsylvania in 2016. He began his first term in 2017 and was reelected to a fifth term in 2024. Fitzpatrick represents the first district, which includes all of Bucks County and parts of Montgomery County.

Before he was a congressman, Fitzpatrick worked as both an FBI Special Agent and a federal prosecutor for 14 years. He specialized in "fighting both domestic and international political corruption, and supporting global counterterrorism and counterintelligence efforts – including being embedded with U.S. Special Forces as part Operation Iraqi Freedom," according to his website.

In addition to his daily duties, Fitzpatrick also served as national director for the FBI’s Campaign Finance and Election Crimes Enforcement Program and as a national supervisor for the FBI’s Public Corruption Unit.

"I'm a huge defender and supporter of the Bureau," he told CBS News in March 2025. "It's the best job I ever had in my life, and the most honorable job I've ever had in my life, keeping America safe. And I care very much about the agent population and the professional support staff that work there. They are tremendous people."

He has served as a U.S. Representative since 2017

On Jan. 3, 2017, Fitzpatrick was sworn in and began representing the eighth district of Pennsylvania, which included the counties of Wayne, Pike and Lackawanna. However, in 2019, Fitzpatrick was reelected to the first district after the districts were redrawn. He was reelected for a fifth term in November 2024.

Since Fitzpatrick took office in 2017, he has worked on several different committees and subcommittees. As of 2025, he has leading roles on the Ways and Means Committee and the CIA Subcommittee.

Throughout his tenure, Fitzpatrick has been the co-chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, Congressional Ukraine Caucus, Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism, Congressional Fire Services Caucus, House Cancer Caucus and the Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force.

"Leadership is not driving single-party solutions," he told City & State in March 2023. "It’s not saying that one party has a monopoly on good ideas or good people. It’s understanding that the overwhelming majority of people in our district and across America want government to function the same way their personal relationships do: You build bridges, you don’t drive wedges, and you find consensus in the center."
